Nicholas is a proud Ugandan man born in Kampala (1992). In 2013, He graduated from the Nsamizi training institute of social development in Uganda with a Diploma in social work and a Bachelor’s Degree in social work and social administration at St. Lawrence University. Since February 2014, He has been working with Uganda Network of Young People Living with HIV/AIDS (UNYPA) as a project officer and currently working as programs Director and a member of the communities’ delegation to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB & Malaria Board. Nicholas is a very inspiring young advocate who has demonstrated both excellent leadership and organizing skills. He is respected by his peers and has a calm, powerful, ambitious and thoughtful way of speaking up on sensitive and complex issues around gender, sexuality, sex and HIV, on behalf of young people living with HIV in Uganda.

He has represented young people on different high-level forums and panels for example he was selected as a future leader and an ambassador of young people to the European Commission during the European development days where he shared his perspectives on how to realize right to health and accountability in the SDGs to come. He has been involved in the Global Fund process at a national level where he has advocated for inclusion of youth voices in the global fund processes through the in-country consultations and Dialogues with the CCM and on a Global level where he was selected to represent at risk adolescents from Uganda during the Global Fund Youth stakeholders meeting in Geneva at the secretariat where he discussed how the Global Fund money can work for young people. He also sits on a steering committee for an Africa regional (8 countries) pediatric HIV Global Fund grant as a (YPLHIV-YKP) representative. Currently he is serving as a member of the Communities delegation to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB & Malaria.
