Kiiza Johnson is a passionate Public health specialist with over 7 years’ experience coordinating programming that addresses young people’s sexual and reproductive health as well health promotion in general. A Bachelors’ holder in Public Health and a student of MSc. Public Health, Johnson has previously been working with Public Health Ambassadors Uganda as a Social Behavioural Change Communications (SBCC) Supervisor and currently is our Programs Manager. As our SBCC Supervisor, Johnson was able to design our SBCC strategies and produce edutainment tools that included drama plays and skits, dance narratives, flash mobs, poems among others that have been used in local communities to increase awareness and provide correct information on sexual and reproductive health among young people. As the programs manager, Johnson provides overall leadership and coordination towards the planning and implementation of all our integrated SRHR/HIV – funded projects. Johnson has also worked with Kampala Capital City Authority as a Health inspection and Education officer as well as volunteered with Clarke International University as a research assistant. He is also a professional Ballroom and Latin dance instructor conducting dance classes with Beyond Latin Vibes. Utilizing his skills in program design, Edutainment tools design, Advocacy and ICT for health, Johnson is passionate about Sexual and reproductive health programming with a focus on social behavioural change communication strategies for young people.
