The Run Movie Premiere
Public Health Ambassadors Uganda(PHAU) is proud to announce that we shall be part of the film premiere called, “The Run” on 4th December at Century Cinemax Acacia Mall 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The movie is about early marriages and is set to premiere after cinemas in Kampala were given a green light to resume operations while recently easing the lockdown. The movie that was meant to premiere before the pandemic will finally find its way to the cinema. The creator Jerry Sesanga announced that it will be premiered on 4th December,2020.
The movie called “The Run” will be presumably the first movie to be premiered in Uganda since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Observing the Covid 19 Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs)
It is understood that it will be premiered at Century Cinemax at Acacia Mall in Kampala under specific SOP’s. The event will observe all the Covid 19 SOPs and therefore we shall have only a limited number of people (half the hall capacity) attend contrary to the earlier arrangements.
Televising of the Run Movie
In a double win incident, Sesanga revealed that the movie will be soon televised on DSTV’s Pearl Magic.
“I’m happy to announce that “The Run” will be premiered on 4th December and we are also delighted to inform the public that Multi-choice has acquired rights to televise the film on Pearl Magic” he explained.
It is a Ugandan story written by Sesanga about a University girl who runs a youth talent center; she has aspirations to advocate for girls’ rights since she is a gender student who is outspoken.
Malaika returns home to find that her father had accepted 50 million shillings and a brand new V8 car in exchange for her hand in marriage from a tycoon. On the wedding day, she runs away with her boyfriend. Produced by UllyWood Uganda, the movie features Spark Tv’s Macah Carolyn, Patrick Kwezi among others.
