YO Space project is aimed at creating demand and utilization of SRHR services such as Family Planning, counseling, Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), Post and HIV/AIDS among girls and women aged 15 to 24 years in order to contribute to the fight of teenage pregnancy, early childhood marriages and HIV prevalence rate.

The project is being implemented in Jinja District through a chain of 14 Peer Educators who are attached to 7 YO Space facilities which are located in Jinja city and Buwenge sub county. The project is conducted through Door to door mobilization and at times facility based outreaches and radio talk shows are conducted to create demand and increase on the uptake of family planning services.

Through the door to door to mobilization approach peer educators also reach out to young women with correct and accurate information in a non judgement format. This is to ensure that clients not only get the methods but also enriched with information in order to make informed decisions when it comes SRHR issues.
